Community Consolidated School District 181, the District 181 Foundation and the Rotary Club of Hinsdale came together, with the help of Cadence Logistics, the Naperville Rotary and The Birches, in a community effort to support the Robeson County, North Carolina School District recover from the devastating losses incurred from Hurricane Florence.

As a result of the destruction caused by hurricane Florence, the school system was closed for several weeks due to hazardous road conditions as well as damage to schools and school facilities.  As one local resident stated, ‘There's so much devastation in this county. I don't know what's going to happen.’

To support our fellow educators and students, donations of school supplies were accepted at D181 schools and at businesses in the community. On November 15th students came together to fill 1,000 book bags with school supplies that are deeply needed by Robeson County schools.
