Posting labs on YOUTUBE for students to use as a study tool or to review if they were absent. Check it out below!
Teaching students to
utilize the internet and evaluate online resources and research
(environmental unit independent research project in the spring)
Incorporating alternative assessments in the classroom using sites like Quizstar - which provide online quizzes and instant feedback for students, teachers, and parents

Ms. Ditmars is passionate about the power of technology and the impact that daily computer use in the science classroom can have by:
Providing regular, consistent access to the computers every day which will improve frequency and depth of technology use
Promoting student creativity and engagement (by creating videos and media-based projects
Connecting students to classrooms around the world (in the environmental unit discussing global climate change and water availability with students in other nations)
Utilizing online tutorials and programs to help differentiate the curriculum (learning to write chemical formulas or balance equations with online software)
Teaching students to see the potential of what they can do with technology (for example illustrating what they have learned in a lab through charts, graphs, reports- comparing their results to other like experiments)
