ANNOUNCING THE D181 FOUNDATION
TEACHER GRANT PROGRAM FOR 2011-2012
The Elementary District 181 Foundation is excited to solicit grant proposals for Spring 2012. You are invited to review the grant application criteria and procedures and submit your application by March 1, 2012.
We encourage you to be creative and innovative with your proposal. If you would like to see a list of grants awarded in the past, please visit our website at www.d181foundation.org. Guidelines and application are also online.
The Foundation works primarily to fulfill two objectives; (1) to meet important needs of District 181 that are not or cannot be funded by tax revenues or other sources, and (2) to supplement and enrich the educational experiences of the students in District 181.
Grant proposals will be evaluated according to the following criteria and should:
Have district-wide value
Enhance the curriculum and/or long-term strategic goals of the District
Actively engage students and impact student learning
Exhibit innovation and creativity
Involve short-term funding not otherwise available from other sources
Serve as a seed, pilot or model for other schools/programs *Include qualitative and detailed evaluation criteria and budget
Typical Teacher Grants range from $1000-$5000. If the budget for your proposal is larger than $7500, please call us first to discuss your ideas before writing the proposal.
